Health and Safety Administrator II at ABNL Limited

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Safety, Security, Health and Environmental (Tech) – Health and Safety Administrator II

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Description

• Responsible for identifying hazardous workplace conditions.
• Takes samples and measurements of hazardous materials, and coordinates the removal of physical, biological and chemical hazards.
• Trains employees on safety, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to employee safety.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Provide technical support and assistance to Project Team in developing and maintaining a Project Safety Roadmap.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and mentoring for employees exhibiting unsafe behaviors, and provide recognition for employees exhibiting safe behaviors.
• Assist with delivery of jobsite specific safety orientations for new employees joining the project, as applicable.
• Assist and co-facilitate safety training, testing for all employees (HazCom, Fall Protection, Lockout/Tag out, etc.)
• Support Project Leadership in completion of incident investigations.
• Facilitate all injury / illness cases.

Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in area of specialty
• Minimum of 8 years experience.
• Previous experience in a closely related position
• Strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of complex tasks.
• May lead and direct the work of others.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Typically reports to a manager.

Additional Comments for suppliers:

• Must have commanding knowledge of Industrial Hygiene operations is an added advantage
• Knowledge of Petro chemical operations is an added advantage
• And also have knowledge of Oil Industry Safety and Health operations is an added advantage

• Develop and implement of Health Hazard control programs
• Support Emergency Response
• Carry our Industrial Hygiene Equipment maintenance
• Provide Health Hazard training
• Carryout Noise and Chemica Exposure Monitoring
• Conduc tNoise Surveys and Develop Noise Maps
• Should be able to conduct chemical evaluations by afety Data Sheet reviews
• Ability to conduct evaluation of engineering control systems e.g. ventilation systems.
• Conduct Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) activities
