Roles and Requirements

The Director of Physical Planning is responsible to the Rector for the Planning and Controlling the technical activities of the Physical Planning of the Polytechnic, Exercise general control on the Department Formulating and executing policies and programs on relevant matters
Advising on building needs, designs, and construction of the physical (Building) assets in terms of quality and quantity
Preparing the Department’s budget and exercising budgetary controls and Performing other duties as may be assigned.
The Director of Information Communication Technology must be a person of high integrity who demonstrate transparency in public and private lives and likely to command the respect and loyalty of the staff of the Polytechnic.
They must also be receptive to new ideas and willing to translate them into action in line with the visions and missions of the Polytechnic.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must possess B.Sc. / HND in either Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Building Technology, Estate Management, Town Planning, or Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution of higher learning, who must have acquired at least twenty (20) years post-academic qualification cognate experience or a Master’s Degree, with Eighteen (18) years post-academic qualification cognate experience or a Doctorate Degree with Fifteen (15) years post-academic qualification cognate experience.
Must also be a registered Member of relevant Professional Bodies like CORBON, NIOB, NIQS, NIA, etc.
Vast knowledge of the Public Procurement Process, Project Management, and evidence of Community Service will be an added advantage.

Appointment Criteria

Applicants must not be more than 50 years of age (fresh appointment) at the time he/she assumes duty.
Salary is CONTEDISS 15 while other terms and conditions of appointment are as provided by the conditions of service of the Federal Polytechnics in Nigeria and as may be determined from time by the Federal Government of Nigeria or the Governing Council of the Polytechnic.
